11. Forfeit

11.1 A team forfeits a game if:

(a) It fails to notify Melbourne Netball 10 working days prior to the commencement of the game.

(b) It fails to field at least 5 players (subject to 8.1-8.7 & 9.1) by the tenth minute of the game.

11.2 A team that forfeits shall receive the following fines; 1^st Forfeit: $85.00 payment, 2^nd Forfeit: $150 payment, 3^rd Forfeit: $150 payment, 4^th Forfeit: team removed from competition. Forfeit fees are payable before the team takes the court for its next scheduled game. Failure to pay such penalty shall result in the disqualification and barring of the team.

11.3 In the event that a team provides notice of failure to place a team within the 10 working day period, no fee will be incurred.

11.4 The opposing team to the forfeiting team shall be credited with 4 points on its ladder score.

11.5 In the event that both teams forfeit the same match, neither team shall receive any points and both teams are subject to the above penalties.
