Captains Obligations

Each season is a new season. It requires a new team application online with all details of each player for the next season. If you do not provide the required individual players' details, your application may be rejected due to insurance requirements.

NB: All players must be 18 years or more to play with Melbourne Netball.

You can buy everthing online. It's cheaper. It's covenient. Read the payments page.

Team Registration Insurance Payment
Regardless of the amount of players that you place into your team throughout your new season, there is only one insurance payment that covers all players including finals. The team amount is $150.00. Late payments increase to $200.00. (See definitino on application page left hand side)

Captain's Legal Obligations and Duty of Care

Any player taking the court with a Melbourne Netball team, must sign a 'Waiver' and 'Player Registration' Form before taking the court in their first playing game. It is a Captain's responsibility to uphold this request throughout the season. If this is not upheld, no insurance claim can proceed.

Your team needs to arrive for your first round with adequate time to fill in the required forms. Always leave them at the venue.

Additionally, on a weekly basis, the Captain is required to mark off the individual players taking the court for the individual games played throughout the entire season. This will indicate which players can qualify for finals games. If weekly games are not marked, ALL players are not registered for that particular round. A player is qualified if they have played three games with your team. This includes washouts and forfeits that your team did not cause but does not include a BYE.

Player Membership Accounts

Every member of every team must have an online account with Melbourne Netball when playing with us. This is emailed to each player after your application is lodged. Usernmae is always the email address from the individual and the Password is the team name.
