Applying for a Team Application across one season : How does it work

Payment Key

  • Team Registration Insurance Fee : Player Insurance and Adminstration Costs for one team
  • Team Season in advance : Total of GAME fees across one season. This DOES NOT include any Finals Games or Umpire weekly cash payments
  • Game Fee : One game payment. This payment is cheaper if you pay online. Cash payment are more expensive
  • Umpire Fee : Weekly Cash payment is made directly to the game umpire. No umpire fees are received by the company.
  • Forfeit Fee : A fine to a team that does NOT supply a team for a fixtured game. This increases if a team repeats the offence.
  • Team Building Player : A cost charged to an individual player who has no team to join and is being placed into a Team Building team

Stage 1

  1. Fill in the Application form. There are legal requirements for our insurance company to accept your application. All player details MUST include Date of Birth/email addresses/phone number, otherwise your application is immediately rejected and not processed. If correct, our administration team will email an attachment requesting you to follow the moves of Stage 2. An automated email is sent to you acknowledging your application. This does not secure your team placement.
  2. Captain's must immediately create their own online MEMBERSHIP ACCOUNT. Within 3 working days, your online account will be activated by the administration team. This does not secure your team placement.
  3. Captain's are required to ensure ALL own team player's immediately register to create their own personal online MEMBERSHIP ACCOUNT. Within 3 working days, these online account will be activated by the administration team to assist in the first stage of creating the Team Message Board. This does not secure your team placement.

Stage 2

  1. Create your own membership account by visiting http://www.melbournenetball.com/user/register
  2. Wait for this to be activated across 2 days and see if youcan then LOG IN
  3. Email ALL players to apply for their own membership account by visiting http://www.melbournenetball.com/user/register and repeat step 2 above
  4. Pay for your Team Registration ONLINE
  5. Click on the PAYMENTS link http://www.melbournenetball.com/content/payments
  6. READ how the payments work to save money.
  7. Choose your online payment of PAYPAL (faster process) or DIRECT DEPOSIT (slower process and gives you your order I.D. number via email) and proceed with your purchase/order of the Team Registration
  8. Include your order I.D. number if using the Direct Deposit to avoid failure (slower process)
  9. You will provide your PAYMENT RECEIPTS to your "Evening Coordinator" on your first game to prove payment. This includes any future game payments.
  10. Download the Captain's Contract to sign and send via email (scanning) or mail to P.O.BOX 2300 Richmond South 3121
  11. If you simply can not manage to pay online you can mail a cheque or money order to P.O. BOX 2300 Richmond South 312. This is the slowest and most unreliable way with no real time security.
  12. This does not secure your team placement. Stage 3 must be completed.

 

Stage 3

Getting active with your message board

How do individual players reach their team message board to communicate with their captain, once they have an online membership that has been activated by Melbourne Netball?

 

From the Individual Player

  1. Login to your membership account with your personal details at http://www.melbournenetball.com/user
  2. Click on “My Team Message Boards” in left sidebar
  3. Click on the “Teams” tab to display all the team names
  4. Find your team and click on the “Request Membership” link
  5. Your captain will verify your request

From the Captain

  1. Login at http://www.melbournenetball.com/user
  2. Click on “My Team Message Boards” in left sidebar
  3. Click on your team to view your message board
  4. Click on “Invite Friend” in the left sidebar and add your team mates usernames or email addresses
  5. They will receive an email inviting them to join the message board.

At this point your team placement is secure
