Recent Staff Testimonial
It really has been an absolute pleasure working for Melbourne Social Netball. Certainly, my development as an umpire is a result of the training you and your staff have provided. I have so much respect for the umpire training program you've developed. Umpiring is a wonderful job and I have really enjoyed learning the art of umpiring. I will definately miss my netball when I'm overseas. Thank you once again.

Eli talks of why she loves Umpiring with Melbourne Social Netball
I have stayed at Melbourne Social Netball as an umpire for over 10 years even though I can choose to work elsewhere because of the support and the training you offer your umpires. You too should be commended for running a great business that sees your umpires as 'sports professionals' and look after them, not just letting them go out on court and fend for themselves in what can be sometimes trying circumstances.

Melissa talks about her years of playing and umpiring
Clare approached me when I was filling in for my friend's team while I was playing in Melbourne Social Netball, and asked if I was interested in becoming an umpire with Melbourne Netball. I took up the offer and was trained by some of the best umpires. The level of training provided ensures you are confident about your calls, able to address any player questions and the occassional white line fever.
Over ten years later and I still enjoy umpiring with Melbourne Netball. I have gained many skills over the years and being a coordinator that are valuable in my day job. With Melbourne Netball it is more than umpiring a game. It's great to see first time players and teams develop their skills over the season, the professionlism of the company and working with a great umpiring team.

Jacinta Feels Valued at Melbourne Netball with Umpiring
I can confidently say that nowhere else offers the same experience as Melbourne Social Netball and it’s the reason why I have chosen to stay there for over 6 years. You walk onto any court as an umpire at Melbourne Social Netball with a strong sense of respect and support from both the players and the staff – my umpiring experiences outside of Melbourne Social Netball have always resulted in abusive players with staff pretty much telling you to ‘get over it’.
Although I have found that umpiring has helped me develop better as a player, what I love most about it is watching and helping teams develop throughout each season. I thoroughly recommend to anyone that loves netball to become an umpire at Melbourne Netball. You won’t regret it!
