MSN Tournament Information - We are please to announce that Melbourne Netball will be holding another Tournament in 2018. The date of this Tournament is Sunday 22nd April 2018. 

So what do you need to know about our tournament?...Firstly there are 'Incredible Prizes' to be won across the day! Think coffee machine's, earphones, backpacks, bluetooth speakers and much more.........

When is it?

The MSN (Melbourne Social Netball) Tournament will be held on Sunday 22nd April 2018.

Kick off will be at 9am for team registrations with games starting at 9:45am.

The day's running schedule including the fixture will come out with the teams starting info via our app after applications close.

What do I need to know? Who can play?

Full teams and or Individuals, couples or friends can apply.

Full Teams need to register a minimum of 8 players.

Individuals or couples or friends will be placed in a Team Building Team depending on their preference of playing position. Teams will be built to a minimum of 8 players. 

Individuals can request to play in the same team as a friend or friends however applications need to be received within 48 hrs of each other. Melbourne Netball will do our best to ensure request are granted however reserves the right to change players into alternative teams if required for the consistency/flow/fairness of the game/division.

Rolling substitutes will be allowed. This means players can swap with another player from the bench at any point during the game (without calling time) as long as the guidelines as outlined on the day are adhered to.

There will be 4 grades available and confirmation of which grade your team is assigned to will be advised with acceptance of your application. (Depending on applications the divisions may vary)

4.Mixed Div B 

Invitations are open to current MSN teams and Individuals and also to external teams and individuals from our netball community so they can join in the fun as well.
 
Each game will consist of 7-minute halves with 1 min in between games, total game time is 15-minutes.
 
Each team will play all other teams in their grade to determine the top 2 teams who will compete in the Finals at the end of the day for the ultimate bragging rights as the winners.

Where will we be hitting the courts?

At our Ryan's reserve venue on Swan St in Richmond. http://www.melbournenetball.com/richmond-reserve

Parking – there will be limited street parking so car-pooling is preferable. In addition there is a tram stop at the front door and Burnley station is within walking distance.

What else is on offer?

MN will be awarding PRIZES throughout the day for various awards, Most valuable players, etc

First Aid will be provided

2 x Exciting umpire and team games to be held. Player Shoot-Out and Umpire Tunnel Ball! Wonderful Prizes to be won and a lot of laughs to be had!

How much do we need to pool together to pay?

Costs are divided into 2 categories:

1.Melbourne Social Netball Existing Team Entry Fee $240

2.Non-Melbourne Social Netball Team Entry Fee & Insurance $300

3.Individual Entry Fee $30

All MSN teams in current playing seasons are covered under their season insurance policy hence the different charge to all outside teams to add player accident insurance per team.

How to register my team?

Entries open Monday 11th December 2017

Entries Close  Monday 9th April 2018

All Entry Fees are to be made before the close date via PayPal below first. (Take a screenshot of payment receipt from PayPal to upload to the registration form) Then you will be able to be transferred to the registration forms.

A minimum of 8 players is needed to register a team.

Please Follow the Steps for the paypal payment then you complete the Registration form. 

  1. Obtain all the Date-of-birth/email/mobile of each of your players BEFORE you start this process
  2. Choose the relevant payment Amount from the drop down box:
  3. se the Pay-pal button below to pay the Entry Fee and Insurance fee. If you require a ball and/or bibs head to our Teams tab to purchase after you have completed this application process (and email enquiries@melbournenetball.com to discuss pick up).
  4. Download your PAYPAL RECEIPT or take a screenshot of the completed payment for the next step once you are redirected back here to the Team Registration form.   
  5. Upload the Online receipt to either the Team Registration Form and complete all the player information collected earlier (you need a min of 8 players and will need to add a valid email and DOB for each) or the Individual Application Form
  6. Then wait for us to confirm your spot in the competition.
